Houston Texas Consulting joins The Alzheimer’s Association to continue the fight against Alzheimer’s. The Alzheimer’s Association Walk to End Alzheimer’s is the nation’s largest event to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer’s care, support and research. Held annually in hundreds of communities across the country, this inspiring event calls on volunteers of all ages to continue the fight against Alzheimer’s.

Every 68 seconds someone develops Alzheimer’s and more than 5 million Americans have Alzheimer’s. Alzheimer’s is a progressive disease, where dementia symptoms gradually worsen over a number of years. Alzheimer’s is the sixth leading cause of death in the United States.

No Cure For Alzheimer

Currently, there is no cure for Alzheimer’s. Researchers are looking for new treatments to alter the course of the disease and improve the quality of life for people with dementia. Today, there is a worldwide effort under way to find better ways to treat the disease, and prevent it from developing.

Alzheimer’s is a progressive disease, where dementia symptoms gradually worsen over a number of years.
